cam phaser repair cost
Hi everyone, just got to say how great this site is. Today I was googling engine knocking in the triton 5.4 for my 04 f150 fx4 37k and came across this site
After reading mulitple post on this same issue (cam phaser) I am wondering what the out of pocket cost for this is? Since I have 37k miles on it I am no longer covered under warranty
After reading the TSB that I found on this site, I am almost certain the cam phaser is the problem due to the fact that it starts making the knocking noise after it gets warm. Anyways, if anyone has had this repair and can give me a ballpark on what the cost is, I would appreciate it. Also, another problem I am having is the exhaust is starting to smell like "rotten eggs" and don't have a clue what could be causing it.
