Prolbems (HELP)

I am new here and was looking for some help.
I own a 92 f-150 with the infamous 300cid.
I went home for lunch and it ran great as usual untill I got back in and it would start up and sputter then die.
The truck has 240,000 and all is foctory nothing has been changed outher than regular maintenance the clutch 3 times.
Thought it was out of gas so got some then tried and it would not even start.

HELP ME PUSH THIS OLD FORD TO 300,000.

The first thing to do would be to check for spark. Assuming you have no spark at the plugs, replace the ignition module on the side of the distributor, this requires a special socket type tool available at many auto parts stores. Again assuming no spark, it could also be the coil or stator, but the ignition module is most likely if it won't start again after sitting a while. When the ignition module dies on an EEC-IV ignition it is like most living things, ie it's dead for good. Post back with what you find.

Common triton, I'll give yuh a hand - Fuel filter ? U prolly checked that already, They still use a pickup coil within the distrib on that model? When those go bad they can fool yuh with out the proper equipment to check.

I tryed the spark and the filter and all seems ok.
I found out it was the fuel pump (in tank) what fun but with 240,000+ what do you expect.
Thank you for all the advice!
