Do you want to build it back to stock specs? Do you want to build it to handle more power? These are a few options to list to get some more complete answers from people here.

More than I can afford.

If you're paying someone to do the work, it'll prolly be cheaper to get a new short block and rebuilt tranny.

It's about 1300 to 1400 for parts for stock type build. Then throw ARP studs for another 350, rods for about 600, forged crank for about 650. Heads -- stock, P&P, or aftermarket? Then figure in machine work and labor if you want someone else to do it. Probably cheaper and easier to go with pre-built short block and save some time in the process. I like to build them personally just so I know how it was done and I can only blame myself if something goes wrong.
