2001 5.4L MISSING BETWEEN 1200rpm and 2100rpm
Can someone please help me? I have a 2001 ford supercrew 5.4L Lariat. I cant find this mysterious miss. It only does it from 1200-2100rpms and sometimes the rpms will shoot up to 2000 with my foot on the brake at a red light.
I have checked the vaccum at the egr valve, changed all but 3 coils and checked all coils with ohm meter each one reads 1.0 ohms, I have also changed fuel filter and had injectors cleaned. changed spark plugs 2 times and replaced 2 oxygen sensors on manifold.
It is not showing a OBDll code. ANY SUGGESTIONS I HAVE READ EVERY THREAD IN HERE ABOUT THESE SIMMULAR PROBLEMS AND THEY ALL HAVE BEEN FIXED WITH DIFFERENT SOLUTIONS.

Scott,
Your problems sound very similar to mine, though I had lean mixture and a fuel metering error OBD codes along with my problems. Found a melted PCV hose boot on the back of my engine. Bought the replacement PCV hose(includes the pvc valve and boots) and it totally solved my idling/missing/stalling problems. Follow your PVC hose from end to end. It's worth a shot.
