2002 rough run & shut off - Mechanic Stumped
Need to pool the people who really know and make this truck reliable again!!
2002 F150 V6 automatic
We can drive the truck home from work (about 45 minutes) and all is fine. Park it for 20 minutes or so, crank it up again and within 10 minutes it will lose power, stumble and the engine will die. Sometimes it will restart after sitting 30 minutes or so, but will only run for about 5 minutes and stumble/die again. Trying to restart it again results in stumbles & backfires. There is also a sound when the restart fails akin to an "old car" or "ah-oh-ga" horn that seem to be drivers side.
It throws a "Lean Condition Bank 1" code and a precode of a misfire. The next moring it starts & drives fine all the way to work.
Have checked for vacuum leaks. Replaced Mass Airflow Sensor & Fuel Filter.
Fuel pump is only 40k miles old & reads good pressure. Have taken it to mechanic 3 times (twice on a tow truck).
Anyone have any ideas? Can use all the help available.
Thanks
