2011 F150 XLT Echboost - Starter "Click" when cold
Hey all,
The other day when it was close to 0 outside, I went to start my truck with less than 10,000 miles, and the starter just "Clicked" The battery was fully charged, when I connected the charger it wouln't charge because it said it was already charged. I had just driven the truck the day before.
I have an '04 Saturn Ion that use to do the same thing every time it was really cold, it ended up being the ignition switch is the steering column.
I did several searched and couldn't find anything about that problem on the 2011 F150.
I had Ford tow the truck to the dealer, of course once it got to the dealer it started just fine and they ran all the standard diagnostics and said they could not duplicate the problem.
Since then it has started just fine.
Any ideas what the problem could be incase it happens again I would like to tell the dealer what I think the problem is as 1/2 the time they don't know their butt from a hole in the ground.
I do have the factory remote start.
Thanks,
-ThaChad
