I read on another truck site which AA sponsored their monthly contest and that they were pulling out of the monthly prize but still honoring the site sponsorship. A representative from AA verified.

Nice of them to let us know (or not) beforehand. It is a nice perk to actually have a prize, don't get me wrong, but when members are expecting the prize and then not get it, it's kind of like a low blow.

Just to update, I received my TOTM prize from AA. Thank you AJ from AA.
It has also come to my attention that a prior winner has yet to be contacted by AA about acquiring their TOTM prize from AA.
This is completely unacceptable behavior of a major company to first off pull out from their sponsored competition unannounced to the forum and secondly to not own up to their commitment of giving a prize.
I know I sound all sore but it is things like this that stick in a man's craw. It may all be because when I was on the moderation staff for this site I was the major proponent for the starting up of the TOTM competition. It just irritates me that AA has made a mockery of the whole thing with their mishandling of and their unannounced exit from the prize giving.
