I just bought a 1991 Ford f150 302 4x4 5 speed manual, but the transmission was claimed to be shot. The shifter itself is very sloppy, as in i can go in a complete circle with the thing. it feels like you can go into gears 1 through 5, but never engages anything when the clutch is let off. also makes no difference wether or not i push the clutch in or out. still feels like i can shift through those gears, but nothing happens. no grinding or nothing. Reverse will not go in whatsoever. The guy i bought it from claimed it has a fairly new clutch and slave cylinder. Does anyone have any ideas? Id like to see if i can fix this one first, before i go swapping the transmissions. Any help is greatly appreciated! Thanks!
