on 2000 f150 do you have to drop transmission?

on 2000 f150 do you have to drop transmission?
I am trying to remove the engine and it is a 4x4. To remove the engine do I need to drop the tranny to get it to move back?

No, just take the radiator out, set the accessories off to the side and it will come right out

you'll need to support the transmission.

lift the engine and pull forward in the hole, and lift it out. Its tight all the way around but it will come out
