7.3L vs 7.3L Powerstroke E40D interchange

Can anyone tell me if an E40D trans from a 1997 E350 1-ton van with a 7.3L Powerstroke turbo diesel will fit a 1994 E350 cubevan with an old school 7.3L that is not turbocharged....I know it should bolt up but I'm wondering about the shift solenoid wiring and such.

I'm not actually sure the IDI pattern is the same as the PSD pattern yet.

I am. All Ford diesels & the M family (7.5L, 460, 400...) have the same bellhousing.
