Exclamation Please Help!!.... Will not shift into park

HELP!
2003 F150 XLT ext cab 4x4...

wont shift into park... can't get the key out!...

We are in a snowstorm here.... just drove 1 hour in the snow.... does this sound like a tranny issue... or linkage issue in the column?

Thanks!

Talking

OK... Spirits are up.... drove home about 1.5 hours... in this snow/sleet storm (about 5 inches of sleet)... and when I pulled into the driveway... she went into park. I am hoping I just had an ice buildup on the linkage....

There is no linkage, the column shifter is attached to a cable that moves the manual lever postion sensor on the drivers side of the tranny. It's a sealed unit that shouln't be affected by snow.

Do you mean it actually wouldn't move past reverse physically, or wouldn't go into park with the indicater on P?
