Paging Factory tech, please help sir.

I found you. I was told you are the god of Ford transmissions and I have a question for you sir if I may.

Will a 4r75 from an f-150 5.4 work in a 2004 Mach 1 Auto?

Is it the same tranny or is the truck tranny longer?
Shift lever the same?
Valve body?

I have a 2004 f150 5.4 4r75w and want to use it to replace
a 4r75w in my Mach 1. I have a bad core I believe and want to start fresh.

So did I waste my cash on this? (It came from a 10k mile wrecked truck.)

I have't pulled the Mach auto again yet...but I am soon.

If you are wanting Gregg I don't know what to tell you. I have been calling him for about a month and I can't get ahold of him.

The transmission you speak of is a nice upgrade to your vehicle but it appears you already suspect the components you need to change. The valvebody from the mach1 is the best valvebody you can get. Have it jmodded and cleaned out real good and use it. I suggest sending it to BC-Automotive for repair and modifications. I know he has some really nice equipment to clean them out ultrasonically and knows all the tricks of them. The lever will have to be changed you will need your factory one from the mach1. I am also going to suggest taking that 3 groove truck reverse servo out and putting in the shorter 2 groove or if you really want to free the trans up for racing and can accept a loose reverse use the 1 groove servo.
Any more questions feel free to message or email me.
