Truck Jumps While Going to Drive

Just wondering if this is normal or not? When its cold when I put my truck in drive it jumps /lurches a little bit. Is this normal? When its warm it doesnt do it.

Are you in high RPMs?

On warm up the trucks run the RPMs high to warm the engine. I find if I don't have my foot hard on the brake and drop it it jumps a little.

no not really . It will rev for about 30 sec then idle down when its cold, thats when I take off. If I let it sit there for about 2-3 min it wont do it. Im guessing the tranny is just cold?

That would be my guess. I'll play around a bit and see what I can make it do.

Your truck is fine, it's that everything is cold. I usually let mine idle for a min. or two then take off.
