Best Shocks For Supercrew

What are the best shocks for a majority of general highway driving on this vehicle? I have 2001 4WD with the OffRoad package. Have looked at Monroe Sensatrac, Bilstein, Rancho. Which might be best combination of ride and price? Are there any others I should consider? Thanks in advance.

Thumbs up Rancho RS9000's

They're adjustable so you can make your truck ride pretty much the way you want it. I soften mine up for everyday driving and stiffen up the rears when I tow my camper or have my quad in the bed.

rtroha - Thanks

Please explain the adjustment procedure. I remember back to the original KONI days when one had to loosen or remove one of the shock mounts, collapse the shock and then twist the body to adjust it. Is it simplier with the Ranchos?

Another vote for the RS9000's

As far as adjustment goes, you can either plunk down the extra $$$$ and get the in-cab adjustment piece, or you just turn a dial on each shock to adjust from 1 to 5. On my truck, it was fairly easy - just reach into the wheel well at the bottom of the shock to turn the ****. I can't say how easy it is to reach into the wheel well on a SuperCrew.

Thumbs up Oh yeah it is.

There's a **** on the shock that has 5 positions. All you have to do is turn the **** to the position you want and you're all set. I usually run mine in the middle setting, #3. When I tow, I turn the backs up to #4. Takes about 10 seconds per side.
