All we can do is keep our fingers crossed that it goes well and we all don't end up glowing like the fifth moon of Uranus.

In addition to this, we also have to let the hamsters out of their cages -- during the downtime, we clean the cages and bathe and feed the hamsters. This is critically important to any high-tech internets systems.

There was a lot of info on the classifieds and the changes that will be implemented, is there any way we can get some info on the garage feature?

Anybody who asks twice is serious, apologies for that knucklehead response.

For the users, management of their vBulletin garage is conveniently handled through their UserCP.
The intuitive user interface encourages even the most challenged to create a compelling Garage.
Images are added via a wizard form either the users own computer or a specified URL.
Local storage of uploaded images prevents broken image links and over quota messages.
Thumbnails are dynamically created with high-resolution images displayed in a navigable Lytebox.
Users can designate whether a garage is visible to the rest of the site members
or hidden until they have time to polish the information and give it the debut it deserves.
Other users can view garages using interactive pop-up menus embedded in each post or through the Garage owner's profile.
Included is a full featured search allowing users to browse Garages by Username and most recently added or modified.
An Advanced Search supports highly detailed search criteria to locate garages meeting specific criteria.

Key Features
vBulletin Options-based customization of information collected and presented in garages
vBSEO friendly insuring all user-submitted content is crawled by search engines [This is huge!]
Usergroup-based permissions for Garage use
Number of garages enabled can vary by usergroup
User management of garages via User Control Panel
Simple-to-use image uploads per garage
Lytebox presentation of high resolution garage images
bbCode supported in information areas
Additional image placement in information area supported
Dynamic presentation of garages in postbit and user profile
Multiple browse and search options for end users []
Supports vBSEO and includes sitemap generation add-on
Complete documentation that is searchable and indexed

I didn't want to risk pissing you off twice by posting a link so I cut&paste.

Now, I can't find the link.

I started by Googling vBulletin & Garage, since this site uses vBulletin, and kind of spun off from there.

Here is something on the subject.....

IB has a Garage of their own creation I believe. With luck, the new VMs needed to run the garage will finally go live today

Any luck?

Stage one this week, then after a month, we switch them on fully.
Have we reached stage one yet?

I believe our new VMs were finally brought online yesterday afternoon. We won't make any changes today, as we're heading into the weekend. But look for changes next week
