Post Carbon Fiber dash is KILLER

Just wanted to let you guys know that I installed the carbon fiber dash kit several days ago. I didn't think much of it afterwards, but a few days later when I got in the truck again, I was really amazed at the difference it makes. A MUST for anyone who wants to spice up the interior. I always felt that the luxurious seats clashed with the dull plastic dash. The carbon fiber kit really takes the interior of your truck to another level. JMHO.

I agree. Never thought much about carbon fiber till I saw it installed. It's a classy mod that you won't see every day. On my list.

Has anybody found the molded kits in black on black?

All I can find are the flat kits.

Sorry if this is stupid....

How durable are the kits? Was it Wyldman or Sixpipes that installed a kit and posted the pictures? Anyway, the kit looked great!!! I am concerned about longevity and endurance. Don't want it to crack at the drop of a hat or warp in this billion degree weather we get in Dallas from time to time.

Wouldn't know it today though. BRRRRRRR

Sixpipes has a kit installed. I saw it at the dallas rally. Its a bit gaudy for my taste but the fit and quality seemed good.

Hmm, I'm BIG into carbon fiber on the motorcycles, but not sure how it would look in the truck. Yeah, is it real carbon?

I got the kit after Sixpipes' post. No offense to Sixpipes but it looks even better than the pics reveal. From the website (and for the price) I would imagine it's real carbon fiber, if it's plastic they sure did a good job of painting it. It also has a real thick gloss over it. Compared to other carbon fiber interiors I've seen I'd say this one is high quality. I don't drive the truck too much and I keep it covered most of the time, so hopefully it won't warp or peel over the years.

Cool

Like Nathan said, it's not for everybody, but it does grow on you after a while. The kit I got is authentic carbon fiber and it did cost a little more than some of the other trim kits I have seen on the internet. I think it's best to go with the "formed" kit that fits over the original interior pieces. A lot of money, but it is distinctive.

Sixpipes,

Thanks for sharing the info. with us, by the way I used rubbing alcohol and I had a lot more time to get the pieces fitted correctly
