Sync not recognizing voice

For some reason the Sync system in my 2012 F-150 has recently had difficulty recognizing voice commands. It has worked without any issues for years, and now when placing calls it rarely gets the name I say correct? Is there a way to update this, or could it be something else?

I have a 2012 FX4 SYNC without factory navigation. Not sure if you require the VIN?
