Replace car hauler with Trailer tires or truck tires??
i hear mixed opinions on this.
i have 235/80/16s on the trailer right now
probably 15k miles on them and need new ones
i hear some people say to run a truck tire, that they will last quite a bit longer, but i don't see any in that exact size and want some opinions
i have a 53 ft trailer i'm pulling with an f450

There is a difference concerning the sidewall construction of a trailer tire and is capable of carrying a vertical load much better than an LT tire that has a much lighter sidewall. The size is not so much the governing factor as is the load capacity of the tire. You should ALWAYS run a trailer at the maximum air inflation on the sidewall of the tire. For your application, I would be looking for a radial tire with a high load capacity- about 38-3900lbs and about 100lbs max air pressure.
