1995 Fuel Pump Problem

4.9 6 cylinder. 205,000 miles. Family truck. Sat for 2 years until last month - plugs, wires, cap, tires, front calipers, oil change. Running OK but truck would stall (or not turn over) with front tank on. # 2 tank - no problems.

Today: BG fuel induction kit service at Ferman Ford, Clearwater. $ 169.99 which I thought was pricey. Upon arriving home, stunned to see gas flowing OUTWARD from spiller hole "where gas goes in" onto the ground! Does this on both tanks. It looks like the gas is going from one tank to another because the fuel gauge is buried full while tank # 2 loses gas at an astonishing rate.

After a few calls to friends, consensus seems to be the diaphragm in one or both tanks need replaced. So.......... has anybody heard of this, had it happen and if so - what should I be looking for or asking about? Thanks!

BTW: first post.
