Help lol

I hope someone on here knows, I have a 1996 F150 excab its in great shape no rust .. but my 4 wheel drive is stuck in 4 low can find a use one , and new ones not cheap. was wondering if I unhook it would truck still run without it till later on ????? and it well not come outta 4 low///

1996 or 1997? You posted in the 97-03 section. Electric or manual shift?

Yeah

Ik I did but ima new to this forum and I couldn't find 1996 , I figure I find some kind man to help me ..lol its manual shift.....

Manual shift. There's a few things to try. You should be idling in neutral to shift out of 4 wheel anything. Sometimes in 4 lo the running gear gets in a bind and it takes a good arm to get it out. You might also try jacking the right front tire off of the ground to relieve any tension in the running gear. That's assuming you have the factory locks on the front wheels. If you have any after markets, sometimes unlocking the front end helps and at times, the locks are the issue. This is just the easy ones to try. That's my experience with my 91 Bronco anyway.

rock it forward and backwards and it will normally come out
