failed emissions

failed emissions.hc.7.50 standard is 3.00 co.145.48 standard is 25.00 can anyone help me with a fix to these readings sorry my truck is a 92 f150 4x4 5.0 efi

It's running VERY rich. Change the fuel filter; check fuel pressure with a gauge; pull the Red vacuum line off the FPR while the engine is idling & check for the presence or odor of gas; check plug color & gap; check plug wires & routing; check catalysts for damage; keep the engine running continuously for at least 30 min before testing.

thanks 4 ur help steve 83, my truck seems to be idling & running much better.im going to dbl check everything & then run it thru emission, i will let you know how we did, once again thankyou very much. AL Watson
