I just bought a 94 F150 with the 4.8 motor, 166k miles. The air conditioner does not seem to change from regular to max, but when set on max and driving over 55mph the air changes from the vents to the floor and or to the windshield. Anybody got a clue where do I need to start.
Also the horn does not work nor does the cruise control?

Ford has never made a 4.8L engine. Read this caption:



The only difference between them is that MAX recirculates and NORM draws fresh air. Read these captions:

Both the horn & cruise go thru the clock spring. Read these:

It is a 5.8
I work from my truck a lot, so recirc is pretty important to me

 

The white hose had a hole in it. Now it works great. Will start on the horn soon
