Ceramic brake pads, anyone ever have issues with them on your truck?

I bought a set of ceramic brake pads from Advanced Auto and they lasted about 6 months (normal driving). They warrantied and and the second set lasted 6 months. On top of that I had a real bad black brake dust issues on th rims.

Advanced Auto warrantied them for the best Wagner brakes they carried (Kudos to Advanced). So far so good, no dust and they seem to be fine.

Anyone have any ideas what was wrong?

All ceramic pads are dirty. PFC Z-compound are even worse. Nature of the beast. As to the six months life, hard to say. Failure to break the pads in properly, rear brakes out of ajdustment puttingtoo much load on the front, your driving style could be anything.

I like to buy the soft cheep pads from napa. they last about 2 years but I would rather change them often and my disks look like new forever.
