1995 F-150 "Check Engine Light"

My father's 1995 F-150 was involved in an accident recently. The front end of the truck was damaged to include the need for replacement of the front bumper and valence and body repairs to both fenders and the hood, and camber caster kits were installed along with a front end alignment (approximately $3,000 in repairs to the body and mechanical). Once the truck was fixed by the body shop, the 'check engine light" was on when we drove the truck home. We took the truck back to the dealership and they ran an EEC diagnostic test which indicated codes for canister purge value and insufficient EGR. Prior to the accident, the vehicle ran fine and there was no problem with the check engine light. Has anyone experienced this and do you have any advice as to if the accident could have caused these problems. Any insight that you have would be much appreciated prior to me taking the truck back to the dealership.

Respectfully,
Highflyer55

Sounds like you have wiring problems at the front right (passenger side) part of the engine. Both plugs may not be plugged in. The plugs in question would be the plug to the purge valve and to the sensor on top of the EGR valve.
