Fix for the worn iginition switch?

The ignition switch on my truck is so worn that you can remove the key at nearly any time. If the key isn't in it, I can't turn it past lock either way, but if I take the key out when it is past lock I can certainly start and drive the truck.

If I turn it to lock and remove the key, there is enough slop in the mechanism for it to still think I have the key in it and buzz away until I jiggle it enough to make it stop.

Can this be fixed without having to re-key it? I would prefer that I be able to keep the same key for both the door and ignition.

i am not sure if it can be fixed but if you want the same keys for doors and ignition then you can take out the switch and send it and a key to a ford dealership to make a new one and they give you two new keys with the new one. but its kindof expensive sometimes.
