Replace engine, problems with startup

This is on a 1990 Ford F150 XLT Lariet, 300 straight six, EFI, 4.9L.

We've replaced the engine, and have hooked everything (vacuum lines, electrical) back up. It turns over but won't start, and seems starved for fuel. Any ideals? I'm thinking it's in the EFI system.

check the fuel relay and the eec relay. To by pass the relay pull off the relay and get a short wire and connect the two BIGGEST sockets on the relay socket harness end. Do that to both the eec relay and the fuel.

Check your emergency shut off switch, should be above the brake pedal and depressed.

Check also to make sure your relays are getting power, should be 12v on the yellow wire.
