Question tie rods

so i took my 96 f-150 4x2 to get new tires at vip, and well doing it they inspected everything on the truck, and when they were finished they told me that prety much the whole front of the truck needs to be replaced, all the tie rods, ball joints, and wheel beerings. the truck seems to drive fine, it pull to the right a little but i also didnt get it allighned. is vip just trying to get my money or is there something wrong with the truck? when i got it inspected in the spring, the guy told me to replace the inner tie rode and after i did that he said it was fine. tell me what you guys think.
