AC throttle response?

Just recently when I have the AC on and start from a dead stop the truck really seems sluggish. Is this normal? because I've never noticed it quite this bad until now.

sorry thought the truck info would show up in the sig. 1993 5.0 E4OD 84,450 miles. Also seems like when it is just selected on Vent, feels like the AC is blowing cold. Vacuum leak? When the AC is on it feels as if I'm starting off in 2nd gear.

Its normall for your truck to seem more boggy with the a/c on because you are putting more of a load on the engine.
Every my '99 with a 5.4L seems a little down on power with the a/c on. A lot of times, if I know Im going to need to zip into traffic or need the power to pass I will turn the a/c off and then turn it back on again when Im back to cruising at a steady speed.
