I recently purchased a 1995 Ford F150 XLT and the vehicle has power door locks. The dealer did not have a remote keyless entry transmitter for this truck. He said that my VIN code could be used to access the "build sheet" for my truck to see if it has the remote keyless entry installed. If so I could purchase one and reprogram my truck's system. He said not all F150's had this system installed. Can anyone please help me? Where can I access this "build sheet" ?

 

If you go to a dealership one of the service writers should be able to get that for you. I am a Toyota tech and we have a website that can only be accessed from our dealerships computers that lets us punch in a vin and see everything the vehicle was equipped with from the factory, and all the warrenty work that was ever done to the vehicle. I believe Ford has a similar system. The dealer should be able to make a printout for you.
