Some troubleshooting help?
My truck is a 95 F-150 with I6 and 5-speed and dual tanks.
A while back I had to replace the float in my front tank and also the O-ring and somewhere along the way, I messed something up. Ever since then, when I use the front tank (which isn't often at all now since the problem started), the gas gauge is stuck at "E" no matter how much has is in the tank and more importantly, the truck bucks and misses under any load but not at idle.
I don't know much about this area but it sounds like I did something to the electrical connections. The only other thing I could think of is a combination of 1) the float I put in was bad AND 2) I've got a fuel constriction or low flow somehow. I don't have a pinched fuel line.
Any thoughts?
Thanks a bunch in advance.
