Breather Filter

I am changing the PCV on my 1995 F150 5.0L. It was not easy because it is located on the backside of the engine. When I bought the valve the parts guy recommended the breather filter be changed also. But I can't find mine! It is not in the air filter housing, or in any of the lines that I can see. It is possible that someone removed it? Where should it go? Any help or advice will be greatly appreciated.

Scraper.

It should be in the airbox. If you look at the side of the air box there is a small hose, maybe 1" in diameter, the breather is in the airbox right where that hose goes in.

He was probably referring to the filter that goes in the intake, below the PCV valve. This should be replaced when the valve is replaced. You'll need an o-ring pick to get it out.
