94 6-banger engine replacement options..
Going to look at a 94 F150 w/ 300CI 6 cyl on Monday. The guy says that the motor is "bad", so I'm wondering what my replacement options are? I know how much a replacement 300 will cost, but wanted to know if it was a real headache to upgrade to a V-8. I'm not a Ford man (yet) so I'm open to any and all suggestions.

see how "bad" the engine really is. you may be able to fix it with a can of dura lube. my friend's dad swears by that stuff

What does a new engine cost?

I have the same one. Lots of miles on it.

I have a complete orginal 1987 only 36k orginal miles inline 6 with harness and computer for sale for $125.
