86 ford f150 fuel sending unit

could someone please help me on weither or not the fuel pump comes w/or w/out the fuel sending units

When I bought mine, it came without it.

I had the choice of buying it with or without the sending unit.

edit: and at least my 86 is FI.

My '86 is NOT fuel injected..

It has a mechanical fuel pump..
