The 4.56s require a notch cross shaft. I was wondering what it was talkin about?

 

the notched cross shaft is needed on the Higher number gears, due to the ring gear extending over the hole which the cross shaft goes in. the notched cross shaft is slimmed down a little to get around the ring gear protruding.
In case you are wondering, the cross shaft holds in the spyder gears inside the carrier.
