Truck vibes

My 2000 f-150 just started vibrating a few weeks ago. I had the tires rotated and balanced and did not help. Sometimes after driving a few miles the truck vibrates for no aparent reason and after I pull over and stop the vibration stops. Pull back on the road and it is smooth as silk. When this vibration start it feels like the whole truck. If I shut off the engine it makes no difference as it coasts down. Plese help

Does it happen at any speed or just at a specific speed. I had a vibe on mine once but only between 80kph and 110kph. Turned out a weight had fallen off the driveshaft causing it to be unbalanced.

my notation on these 97-03 trucks is vibrations come from the smallest amount of play up front. check out your balljoints, tie rods, a-arm mounts upper and lower, last but not least in importance, check your idler arm and pitman arms for play.

ive had a run in with my idler arm being loose from the frame causing wheel hop/vibration feeling that would come and go.
