What type of gears do i need?

What type of gears do i need?

Im getting a 8 " suspension lift and need to know what kind of gears i need to get?

Your ideal gear ratio has nothing to do with the amount of lift, rather the size tires you will be turning. You could have two feet of lift, but with stock tires you won't need gears.

I'd go with 4.88s. 5.13s would be good if you don't do any highway driving and if you take your rig off road a lot. For a daily driver 4.88s would be the best choice.

agreed,4.88's would be great for daily driver you would probably see an increase over stock with either ratio but 4.88's would be a better highway daily driver. but if you only use the truck to cruise or off-road or mostly city driving 5.13's would be better
