Good dam write up. You need a job at a magazine company, lol. I do have one question. Do you guys think that Ford will offer a FX2 Sport on the 09? If not what about on the 2010.

Awesome right up as always RP. I can't wait to see what the EcoBoost engine will be like in the F150's! So how did you manage to be involved in such a cool experience??

Awesome job on the article! Thanks for sharing an experience we mortals can only dream of.

What I couldn't believe was the video results of module 3. The Dodge and the Toyota looked as if their beds were going to fly off at any moment! It's obviously an extreme case course but also obvious the F150 fared best even when compared to the Chevy.

The truck is looking better all the time.

Did I miss it somewhere in the write up, or did you say what model year the RAM was that was used for a comparison? Was it an 08 or an 09...just curious.

It's was a 09 RAM, 09 Silvy, 08 Tundra (09's haven't been released).

It was asked. The answer was vauge at best and they cited that they already had multiple trim levels. In short, no 'yes' or 'no' was given.

Not sure what you're asking with the AWD/4WD question... it was 4LO... I've never driven anything that was geared as an AWD when it was in 4LO. *shrugs*

If you had seen the motor, you would understand why it overheated. It was ENCASED in very thick, dense, clayey mud. LOL!

Great writeup, Rockpick! Very well done.

I've seen a youtube video where an 2009 FX4 had a locker. It'd be great if the F150 had a locker like the G80 unit in the Silverados/Sierras or better yet a selectable locker.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wphkjCEl49c

The vid says Detroit Locker, but they're not selectable.

The 09's have an electric locker in the FX4.
