Those of you with the 99-00 PAINTED
20's that have had them for a coupld of years or so, how is fit/finish holding up. Any runout /balancing probs? Source for best quality? Guys(?) in NC are closer for shipping, but want best quality for best print--not necessarily mutually exclusive! BTW I vote for 99-00's,too!

This may sound extremely dumb, but here goes. I think a 99-00 Lightning should have that year wheels on it, and the 01-02 Lightnings should have the 01-02 wheels on it. For instance someone on here has an 03 DSG L with chrome 99-00 wheels and while the truck is beautiful, to me it doesnt look right with older year style wheels on it. To me an 03 should have 03 wheels unless you go to a totally different rim altogether. I just cant see taking a new 03 and putting rims from an older model on it, it kind of makes your new updated truck looks somewhat "old". Again this is only my oppinion. What year is the Lightning in question here? I like all the wheels the Lightning has come with from the factory from 99-03. Mike

Both styles look good IMO, the 03 wheels however would get canned as soon as I drove off the lot if it were me. Those things are just lame looking. The 99-00 20" would be better though if the "spokes" of the 5 star pattern werent so thin looking, they should be widend a little since the wheel is larger.

Rims
How heavy are these rims and do they hurt the performance of the truck? I want to get some like yours but in black im just not sure if they are heavy and will start hurting my truck cause i had some after market ones before and i felt my truck heavy especially on my transmission
I had the 99-00 Chrome Rims on my Lightning before here is a picture.
I now have the 01-02 20x9 Chrome Rims from Factory Reproduction that I really like better!!! I vote for the 01-02 Rims!!! Return the rims you got now and get what you ordered!!! Do what ever will make you happy!

00 L wheel weight
I wanted some 20's and wanted to research the comparative weights to have some idea of difference in "unsprung weight". Stock 18's were 55lbs each and are "cast": but the Boze 20's were only 35lbs each, so went up 2" and dropped 20lbs! "Forged" wheels like Boze are usually a lot more expensive and frequently 2 or 3 piece, while cast is almost always 1 piece.
Noticed no perceptible performance increase: but may have cornered slightly better, hardly noticeable.
If anyone is interested, still have the 4 OEM stock wheels and 3 mounted tires that I keep forgetting about; but like to sell? tires are nearly bald and think 2 of wheels have minor curb rash. Not too interested in shipping, so would need to be somewhat local to Atlanta, Ga area.
