Sorry to hear about that man, I just had the same happen to the plastic around my cupholders. Due to COVID19 I always use alcohol to clean my hands before I come back home but a splash spilled out onto some painted plastic and discolored it IMMEDIATELY. Been scouring the web to try to find a fix but everything I try doesn't work..

I know this is an old thread, but I'm surprised there hasn't been more people asking about this.
I'm into collecting fountain pens, and a BIG NO NO is alcohol and certain types of plastics that FP's are made from. There's been a lot of posts on reddit regarding people destroying $400+ fountain pens with hand sanitizer.

Well, it's quite pertinent today with people needing to disinfect their vehicles. This is one old thread that SHOULD have been brought back up.
Don't use alcohol without testing it on a not very visible spot first. An all-purpose cleaner with bleach should be safe, but try it on a spot first.
