Can't wait to see the mod in person.
I found everything except the black PVC pipe. I will check Home Depot later, when I can go across town.

They got my Keyless Entry to working, that I installed. There was a missing ground wire in the Body Control Box. They retrieved the factory code for me. So it all works now. Happy for that!

I would think it would be beneficial to them in many ways if they did.

Have fun doing your project today.

He should know me since I have the sticker with my s/n underneath.

Funny thing he (service guy at Bankston Ford) and his wife bought/live in the house my best friend's parents used to own/live in (They've both passed away, RIP). My best friend grew up in that house. Small world.

I did a mod kind of like the Gotts but i installed a flexible aluminum tube form the the end of the tube to behind the left headlamp and out the the left side of the radiator as a ram air intake. I took pics but the sizes are to large. Did it all for nothing since I purchased the JLT ram air intake and I'm installing it on Tues. the same day as the gryphon. However I will test it out on my way to get the tunes and will post the pics as soon as I figure it out. There's a flow though, the flexible aluminum tube is from those 4" tubes that are used for dryers and the inside of it is rough, that will cause eddies or turbulence inside it as the air rushes through it. I will try to post the pics a.s.a.p

So, I can do the DWV intake mod on my 04 5.4 without having to worry about the engine running lean? And I don't have to invest in a tuner to go along with this mod? Should the battery be disconnected while this is being done so the pcm can relearn for the increased air flow when finished? Sorry for all the questions, and thanks for any answers.

hmmm, I wonder about this along with a drop in K&N filter???? Should give you bout 10 hp then if you add the claimed gains together.

I dont have money for a tuner now, and all these aftermarker CAI's that say you no longer need a tune and it wont make the truck lean are full of ****.

Anyone try both this and a drop in?

I already had a K&N drop in and I just did this mod and there is a noticable difference in throttle response. Probably not as good as a CAI but for less than $20 I'd say it can't be beat. I couldn't find black PVC so I just painted it black with the Valspar rattle can paint for plastic Lowes had.

Removing the battery cable is optional. It is not required but it will speed up the adaptive process of the PCM. The PCM will make the adjustment on its own over a period of time. This mod does not affect the Air/Fuel ratios, so no lean problems.
