Post Please Help

I know this is supposed to be for engine discussion only but I thought I would have more of a chance here. My door ajar light stays on and all i hear is ding ding ding while im driving. Could anyone tell me where the switch is. I looked for it on the door and inside the door jam and cant find nothing. I have a 97 regular cab 4.6 liter

Question

Is there a fuse you can pull to disable it? That might be the fastest way to stop the alarm. Hope that helps.

I think 'spaying' just might help. Even if it does not stop your problem, at least it won't have any baby 'ding-ding-dings!' So be a responsible truck owner and have your latches spayed!

I can confirm the spraying your latches works. I fought this problem for a long time and this site helped me solve it! (although I used "alumalube" because it won't gum up or hold dirt like WD40)

StayBlown,
Stay away from WD-40. The stuff is garbage!! The active ingredient is vanilla oil. Once it gets wet, it's gone. I use a product called BOESHIELD T-9. It's made by the Boeing Aircraft Company. I use it on all of my guns as well, as all of my vehicles. It is waterproof and lasts for many months up to a year or so. You only can get it by ordering. The number is (800) 962-1732. Bugman.
