Chip Or Programmer?
What ever you do, DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY ON THE PROGRAMER!!!! Get in touch with Mike and buy a SuperChip I have the programmer and truct me it sucks. If t does not do what they say it will do. I sold mine and am now waiting for my Superchip to come in. I have used sucperchips before and I have always gotten what they told me I would., Never again will I stray.
From what I've heard the Power programmer requires the use of a low temp thermostat to try to avoid detonation. A good chip, like a Superchip, requires the use of 93 octane fuel, to take advantage of the PCM program changes. I don't know about you but I want to reduce the risk of detonation any way I can. The power programmer is not the way to do it.
Have a look at the "computer chips" section of the boards. There is a ton of useful information there. You don't have to take the word of a few people. There are many more who will tell you, from experiance, that a chip is your best bet.
