Cold start problem

I have a 2001 5.4 Triton and it takes about 20 times to get it started. I just replaced the fuel pump and the problem is exactly the same. I have been told it maybe the CHT sensor. ANY SUGGESTIONS? Thanks!

Have you checked for DTC's with a code reader? Is the CEL on?

(CEL = check engine light)
(DTC = diagnostic trouble code)

You could have a bad fuel pressure regulator - not holding pressure after the pump stops.

Well on my 01 screw whenever it was cold out usually in the mornings since I live in Florida it doesn't tend to get to cold but I replaced the IAC and the problem was fixed. You might want to give it a look and clean it or replace it.
