when i cold start my f150 it idles fine but when i put it in drive and then go to take off it stutters and then it will pick up after a second or so. Also some times when im coming to a stop the eingine will cut off altogether and i have to crank it again. any ideas would be great.

I would agree with hcmq the Idle Air Control Valve(IAC) is most likely the problem they are about $100.00 at advance auto. Seen this problem before put new one in solved everthing. Hope this helps

 

thanks alot guys i think that fixed the problem. the part was only 41.00 at autozone. thanks again
