Help. 04 fuse blows

My f150 blows a fuse as soon as I put a new one in. The fuse number is 41. How should I be able to fix this. Thanks.

Sounds like it is shorting out somewhere. Have you installe anything recently on the interior/exterior that had metal screws? If so, the screw probably chafed a wire and is shorting out. If not, follow the wires from the cig lighter and diagnostic port back to the fuse box, checking for chafing.

Taking a guess that you have a New Body Style 2004 ( you did not provide any info on your Truck ) the cigar lighter or the DTC port are the 2 items on this fuse.

Take a look inside the cigar lighter for any broken DC power adapters, some of the cheaper ones will snap off in the holder and leave part shorting the contacts together.

This is also working without the info asked in the post above, about any modifications.
