Maybe it's just me but it seems like my exhaust is louder and meaner sounding after I loaded the MPT tune on my truck. right now I'm running the 87 performance tune until I can run the tank dry then I'm switching to 93. Can't wait!

That was the case in my 5.0 truck.

If you can keep your foot out of it, I'd be curious fuel economy gains on 87 with the tune

I'm gonna have to get one to correct for tire size change in the fall, and after reading up I'm probably going with MPT....

You're confused, Patrick has the 5.0. He doesn't have to do that like you EcoPooter guys.

Let's line em up! I'll show you what a "eco" boost does to that 5.slow.
I'll even put mine back to stock so you can see the tail lights better. If i race you with my tune all you would see is a little black (maybe brown) spec out your windshield

For those that don't know i'm just having fun with Patrick. Dont want another 5.0 and Eb thread bashing to start

Update- had to make a small road trip to Bowling Green Ohio Tuesday as my 17 yo kid wanted to check out BGSU. Anyway I had the MPT 87 performance tune loaded and I reset the avg mpg before we left. When I got home, the avg mpg counter showed 17.5 mpg, best I ever got on the stock tune was 15.2 Total miles was 210 round trip and 99% was highway.

Now I know that you guys down in Texas get much better than I can, here around the Cleveland area we are forced to use E10 year round due to the topology of the surrounding area it traps the pollution in much like what L.A. has to deal with.

Over 2MPG is pretty darn good. Let us know when you swap to the hi octane tune

I just did yesterday. To early to tell what the mileage will be, besides I can't keep my foot out of it. It's like driving a different truck.

Oh and while on the road trip I was going 75-80 for most of the trip and still got 17.5, wonder what I would have got if I stayed at 70.

Yea, dont worry about mileage on a 91 or 93 tune. Just enjoy driving the added performance. I hate when i have to go from my 91 tune back to a tow tune or the stock tune. The truck seems slow.

Bet you would have been in the 18.5 to 19 mpg range if you were cruising at the 70mph mark.
