Woot!!!! New PC 7336SP

I finally took the plunge and bought myself a P/C. I had been using a Sears 10" buffer but I've always wanted to step up to the "real" thing. I went to Lowes today to see what they had. I found two PC 7336SP's but both boxes were opened and the polishing bonnet was missing. I asked if they had any others in stock and unfortunately the answer was no. After about a 15 minute discussion with the sales clerk (very nice older gentelman) he said "let's go talk to the manager to see if he will discount this one for you". They were selling it for $109.00 and I figured that he would knock $10.00 or so off of the price so I did not expect much. I ended up getting it for $65.00 !!!!!!!!!! The only thing missing was the polishing bonnet (that I was not going to use anyway). Now I'm surfing through the threads to see which pads are best to use. Any suggestions?

Thanks all!

I like both the Meguiar's, and Lake Country pads.

Get yourself the 5" hook & loop backing plate, a cutting pad, a couple polishing pads, and a couple finishing pads to start.

Not that I want to advertise here, but Meguiars sells a nice kit with a backing plate, and 3 different foam pads (cutting, polishing, finishing) for about $50 bux give or take...check out Premium Auto Care. It was my first starter kit when I got my 7336SP at Lowe's new for $85 (pricing error in my favor)!

I personally did not care for the Meguires pads, and went with Lake Country pads.

Properautocare.com sells them private labled, and I am looking for the other site that has them branded Lake Country.

Good luck.

I haven't tried the LC pads but, I've heard very little bad 'chatter' about them on the various boards that I follow. They are on my 'try them' list.

Until then, I'll continue utilizing my Meguiar's pads (which I love).
