i used krylon fusion glossy black finish and to me it didn't come out glossy enough, i wanted it to blend in with my factory paint color

another thing you might want to do when you seal them up, is get a larger tube of silicone (one that fits in gun). and when you close the headlight up use some clamps to apply pressure on the lens and the rear black part, this will give you a better seal.

here is a picture of the clamps

I'm going to try this today and I'm pretty nervous about it.

I bought some oem HD headlights but the orange reflectors aren't snapped into place and rattle plus the black housing is cracked so I'm going to try to repair it also. Heck, I may even nightshade the reflector while I'm at it too.

I'm going to do some more searching but I do like your right up. Any other tips?

hey bro i did thisand over all it took me a couple of days and needless to say i did kinda mess up the black portion a little to get the damn thing apart but over all once i heated it up a couple of times over they finally came loose. all in all this is a great write up and they look awesome i will post som pics when the rain clears up. saved me a ton of money i would recommend this to anyone or i will even do this for someone if they are wanting me to easy but takes alot of patience lol. oh and i painted my turning signal portion instead of leaving it chrome and it also looks great and no complaints from cops either but its making my truck get closer and closer to straight silver and black....
