Stiegemeier Venum cooler
Stiegemeier Venum cooler
Well I had to do my timing chains on my truck so I decided to send my blower of to stiegemeier's to be rebuilt since they already ported it I decided to get my upper plenum ported and the new venom snout cooler installed while it was there. I also did some powder coating on the trucks valve covers timing cover and water crossover while I was waiting. here are some pics.

Venom cooler installed

the venom cooler has shown a 100* drop in blower temp on the front half of the blower to even it out with the rear temp. On the Roush with the longer snout they have seen up to 125* cooler. So hopefully this will help with the heat soak in the summer

I had two heat exchangers but ended up burning up my intercooler pump. I have since mounted the roush heat exchanger out front above the trans cooler. I am thinking about adding a larger tank that I can add ice when I am at the track

Has nothing to do with IAT's. Though I think you mean ACT's. This is a way to cool the snout to prevent premature seal failure. The snout on the Eatons get insanely hot while racing or just during some spirited driving.
You live in texas where over 100 degrees is common.... how could you not know that?
BTW aweomse jack!
Everyone is working on their trucks but me..
I keep fighting withmyself on what to do. I want to build the engine in my truck, but then I also want a procharger for the viper, then I also want to finish my 92 coupe and have a 9 second car finally.

Seriously!?! The temp of the air pre-blower verses the temp going into the cylinder post blower is like tomato vs toamato. Wow Prochargers really are amazing. They have completely rewritten the laws of physics
on the highway i never saw IAT(charge air temps) above 100F unless i was stopped in traffic with heat soak the hottest it got was 146F. but i never race if my IAT's are above 100F
Mark and I have tested the ProCharger and a T-67 turbocharger on the same truck, with a Dakota Digital ACT guage. Both systems used air-to-air intercoolers. The 3-core is very efficient and brings charge temp down to ambient (Outside temperature). While driving, under hood temperatures never fell below 110-120 degrees. This was in Houston in the middle of the Summer.
Under full boost, the P1-SC ProCharger discharge temp was 180 degrees and at the throttle body charge temp was 100 degrees on the trip home from the dyno.
I firmly believe in keeping the compressor cool. I am interested in seeing the end result charge temps after installing the Venom system!
Nice work Huitt!
