Do I need to revert back to stock for fuel fliter change?
I tried using the search feature for my topic but found none. I have an edge cts. I dropped my truck off at the local dealer for inspection and new fuel filter. I did not change my tune back to stock since many here have said to leave it, I only unplugged the tuner. I should be fine right?

I should be fine then, I asked the guy not to reflash and I also have that little red plastic do not flash warning cover on my port.
I just get nervous when my baby is in the hospital/shop. haha
also, jack the guy tried to get me to flush my tranny fluid. My truck is a 08 with 30k miles is that normal to do? If so I will have to wait, since my dealer wants $270 to do it.
I will end up taking it to a private shop, since the ford dealer I normally use has been sketchy in repairs as of late. A woman in my office had to get her tranny replaced and the dealer said they replaced it twice. A ford rep flew out to the dealer to take a look and they never replaced it. They scammed Ford on warranty work.

30k tranny changes are only required under "severe service". $270 for a "flush" is excessive. You don't want a "flush", you only want an "exchange". This uses a machine passively, letting the tranny pump do the work of pumping the old fluid out and drawing the new fluid in. A "flush" uses chemicals, which are NOT needed.
The dealer is trying to maximize their profits. Unless your driving is primarily stop and go and/or involves towing, I'd wait till around 60k for an exchange. However, an exchange now certainly wouldn't hurt.

yeah I think thats what he said, "exchange". yeah, I only do stop and go driving and only drive 12 miles a day. Hell, I have the truck for 2 years and put 10k miles on it.
I'm with glc. I don't think your driving qualifies as "severe". If your transmission fluid looks "new" (not darkened/discolored), I'd wait. Your driving hardly brings the transmission up to normal operating temperature, and I can't see it causing any stress on the transmission internals.

The service tech called me back, the exchange is $179.99 and the full flush is $279.99. Should I wait on the exchange or get it done now?
Just got back from the dealer, I think they reflashed. How can I tell? I had my port covered with a "Warning do not flash, contact owner" cover which I found was off and placed in my cup holder. Also, the computer display in my truck was different when I turned my truck on. I plugged my cts in and level 2 tunes showed up again. Truck runs normal how can I tell if they screwed me?

Sad world we live in. Everything is over priced and then you don't even get what you pay for anyway.
If I were in your shoes, I'd probably get an exchange now, or soon. Shop around - $180 is still a bit high, just make sure they use Mercon V fluid.
Not getting the trans up to operating temp can be just as hard on it as towing. It also would help in "covering your ***" if you have a trans-related warranty issue, if the dealer determines that you are under "severe service" you may have problems, especially a dealer who appears to be less than honest.

How did the computer display "change"?
My dealership here in Tucson charges $159 for a transmission fluid exchange, and I think they like to do it on a 30,000 mile interval, so, it's probably due using that metric. But, your dealer's a bit expensive.

And IDK of the many who said not to flash it back to stock before bringing it to a dealer but its not the protocol I and many others were taught....its more economical to get your tunes rewritten for a new hex code then it is to get your programmer unlocked plus new tunes......next time let the service manager know this up front....
